Brainstorm

In this age of computers and tablets, the majesty of pencil and paper is slowly being lost. Scapper brings back that magic for you.

Connect Your Ideas

At its core, Scapple is an app that lets you scribble notes down in much the same way you would with a pencil and some paper, and then allows you to connect those notes together. Simply double click (or tap) anywhere to create a new note. Notes can be moved around, stacked, and removed, while the connections themselves can be labelled. There are various compatibility features on offer with other popular applications and services, such as Scrivener and iCloud, and your notes can be exported out into a number of popular file formats. The app is ideal for things like to do lists and brain storming sessions, without the need for wasteful paper usage. It In addition to being more environmentally friendly, there is the added benefit that typed words will nearly always be easier to read than handwriting, and you can include images easily (without having to draw them by hand!)

Very Useful

Scapple is undoubtedly great for what it is. However, there are minor bugs (and some more severe such as not saving work). It also seems as though the software is abandoned, as there have been no updates for some time.

PROS

  • Easily make and organise notes
  • Make connections between notes

CONS

  • Has a number of bugs
  • Developers not putting put updates
